Take on this wonderful Raspberry Almond Torte for a second…
Isn’t it pretty? Slightly slice of the summer season sweetness in a vegan recipe!

I’m sharing this Raspberry Almond Torte in the present day as a result of, properly, first, I actually needed to. 😬
Second, it’s a little bit of a teaser of what’s to return.

And what’s to return is a giant ol’ reprisal of recipes from Let Them Eat Vegan! 📣 🎉
However first, there’s a narrative behind this announcement…

The Lengthy Story: Let Them Eat Vegan
Now, I do know lots of you don’t have this vegan cookbook. It’s maybe my poorest-selling cookbook (and please don’t go buy a duplicate – hold studying).
And but, at any time when I publish a couple of recipe from LTEV (that’s ‘allow them to eat vegan’), I’ve somebody chime in with “that’s my favourite cookbook of yours“.
Each.
Time.

So why hasn’t it offered extra copies?
Effectively, vegan cookbook/e-book gross sales are about much more than the standard of the recipes.
In current day, they’re about social media presence. Huge accounts drive large gross sales.
It’s additionally about advertising buzz. What a writer can create for the e-book, in addition to brokers and publicists.
And typically, it’s about filling a distinct segment and the “look” of the e-book. As after I printed Plant-Powered Households (my best-selling cookbook up to now – thoughts you, it’s small relative to different vegan/cookbook titles).
And with LTEV? Effectively, I had little social media presence (social was simply gaining floor then). However extra importantly… my writer didn’t do that e-book justice. It acquired little consideration from media, and so they printed it with errors. After years of labor, It was a disappointing launch, to say the least.
However, I accepted that a part of this was on me. See, I agreed to work with this writer and agreed to the phrases of the design (a mere photograph insert fairly than a full-color e-book with full meals pictures).
I didn’t personal that I deserved higher – that my work was worthy – on the time.
Acceptance.
However what I’m not accepting?…
A few years in the past it was delivered to my consideration from a reader that her copy of Let Them Eat Vegan was printed in full black and white. Sure, every thing. The textual content, and the meals pictures – in black and white. 😢
My writer skirted the problem after I contacted them, and I noticed that the greenback was the one challenge for them, and this lowered their printing prices on a e-book they’d no actual funding in.
However I used to be invested in it. And I nonetheless am. As a result of I nonetheless love so most of the recipes in that e-book, as you do.

So, I made a decision to take cost of the scenario.
This fall, I will probably be releasing two ebooks, one savory, one candy. All recipes are revisions of favorites in Let Them Eat Vegan, AND…
The recipes are ALL photographed!
ALL recipes at the moment are additionally oil-free!
The recipes are made even simpler!
… and eventually, all recipes don’t use coconut milk or coconut butter (I’m not in opposition to consuming some coconut in our diets, fairly actually, I’m uninterested in getting hammered about having coconut in my recipes after I’ve designed them that approach to be nut-free and likewise a bit extra luxurious)
