McDonald’s Cookies & Creme Pie is a baked, turnover-style pie that includes a chocolate cookie crumb crust with vanilla creme filling and chocolate sandwich cookie items inside.
I paid $1.59 for one.
The vanilla creme filling was just like melted marshmallow in texture. It had a sticky, considerably stretchy consistency to it. It wasn’t all that candy and the vanilla taste was very gentle. It felt a bit plain general with a little bit of an odd undertone to it that I could not fairly place.
The crust was comfortable at elements and had a lighter brown shade on the floor and a darker crumb inside. Sadly, regardless of the colour the chocolaty taste was pretty gentle and lacked the deeper chocolate notes you get from an Oreo wafer. The sprinkle of cookie crumbs atop the creme was principally there for visible impact because it was negligible by way of style and texture. Equally, the white nonpareils within the crust weren’t doing a lot both.
Taken altogether, McDonald’s Cookies & Creme Pie was a little bit of a disappointment. Whereas the textures and look had been good sufficient, the pie was typically muted and lacked in each chocolaty cookie and vanilla creme taste. It had me wishing they’d introduced again the S’mores Pie for the summer season.
