Evaluate: 2022 Cantina Zaccagnini Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo

We lately had the pleasure of attempting each the Tralcetto Montepulciano and the Pinot Grigio from Cantina Zaccagnini, with each wines exhibiting commendable qualities. Now we’ve got the nice fortune to strive the Cerasuolo varietal from this Abruzzo-based vineyard.

The wine pours a hue of medium salmon and presents aromas of cherry and strawberry complemented by a gentle hibiscus observe. A fragile stability of sunshine acidity frames a palate largely that includes an interaction of vibrant strawberry and pomegranate, with a little bit of faint minerality that amplifies over time. The end is lingering, with the dominant strawberry observe step by step dissipating over time leaving a curious contact of salinity on the finish. Extremely approachable, fairly priced, and prepared for the kick-off of hotter climate, it’s a well-crafted wine appropriate for lighter seafood and pasta dishes.
