We visited Inexperienced Cay Wetlands in Boyton Seashore, (Florida). The unbelievable space overlooks 100 acres of wetlands and hosts a one and a half mile elevated boardwalk that takes you straight into the wetlands.
The final time we visited was about 6 years in the past. The world was lush with an enormous selection and quantity of birds. We had been dissatisfied this time as a result of we came upon that lots of the birds use this spot as a stopping level on their solution to migrating to South America. We got here on the unsuitable season.
We did see one ahinga, a heron or two, and some geese and some egrets or ibises. Honestly, I’m not knowledgable to determine every hen.
It was disappointing; we needed to see rather more.
After we left we went to a strip mall that was shut by to get a cup of espresso. Surprisingly as we drove into the car parking zone, there was a big puddle that filled with white birds.
I am guessing they had been principally egrets or ibises ( I do not know the distinction), however then I noticed a number of what I feel are wooden storks!! That was fairly a deal with! Can anybody determine the hen under?
It was ironic that we noticed the biggest quantity and number of birds in a big puddle within the car parking zone versus the wetlands close by!
