Made by the oldest wine co-operative in France, this golden-rose coloured wine proves the ageability of pinot blanc.
The wine’s aroma of honey-ripe and dried apples brings the change of seasons into sharp focus: a mild transition from late summer season to early autumn. This wine has a beautiful textured mouthfeel, together with gentle nutty, appley fruit – even now, over a dozen years after the grapes have been hand-harvested. A medium-long end within the wine affords citric minerality from the limestone soil within the vineyards which lie on the foot of the Vosges Mountains in Alsace.
Notes: Serve chilled, not super-cold. Alcohol 13%. In case you can’t discover this classic, do strive the extra simply accessible 2017, which is natural. Surprisingly cheap; precise pricing relies on your area.
